The color white evokes a feeling of clean crispness that can't be
replicated with any other color. With winter and snow upon us, there
couldn't be a more perfect time to embrace this beautiful color and the
blank canvas it creates. With color taken out of the creative equation,
there is no limit to what you can do. Your challenge is to create a
white-on-white card. While you can add small pops of color or touches
of neutrals, the main focus of your project should be the color white.
Layer die-cuts, mix textures created with impression plates, combine
multiple ribbon styles, dazzle with rhinestones & pearls, think
white heat-embossed patterns and so much more.
What is more fun than a new white sweater for Christmas!

Have you every been inspired to get paper crafting after browsing the
shelves at the book store? Or excited by the cover of a particular
catalog when it arrives in the mail? Cover art is a wonderful source of
inspiration and it can be found all around you. Your challenge is to
select one of my favorite covers above (or a cover of your own)

things into consideration such as the layout of everything on the cover,
the colors. the sentiment placement, etc. And most of all, have fun

This week Papertrey Design team member Heather Nichols shows how to create your own alphabet stamps from your die-cuts Check it out at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=d_SOFfpx1zY
Anyway all week I have been trying to decide how best to use the information from this video and make a fun card, you see I do not own any alphabet dies. So finally today I figured out a way to make my own alphabet dies from the Papertrey products I do own.
From the dies on the left I cut from foam and adhered to caps these few letter to make the word "peace"
Thus creating this card
I added felt snowflakes cut from the Winter Penguin set and a piece of Pure Poppy patterned paper.
These fun MIM videos help ones in thinking WAY outside the box to create some very fun cards.
Thanks Heather for the inspiration! Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week.
Dawn McVey this week shows how to use glittered tabs in your card making designs. My card uses PTI scarlet jewel and New Leaf pattern packs, half and half glittered tab, Sweet Life die cut rose, chevron die cut, stripes IP, and count your blessing die cut.

This month it is all about wrapping it up. Whether you are preparing
early for the holidays or have an upcoming birthday or two, have fun
experimenting with fabric & felt packaging ideas.
Use a pretty piece of fabric like you would wrapping paper and make a
custom tag to coordinate with it. Not into sewing or gluing? Wrap a
kitchen towel or cloth napkin around a special bottle of wine and top it
off with a hand-stamped gift label. Or rip a strip of fabric to use in
place of ribbon and finish it with a pretty handmade gift card.
This month is all about wrapping it up. For my Blog Hop challenge card I took a piece of fabric and made a fun ribbon bow on my card.
