December Blog Hop Challenge

December Inspiration

Now it's your turn to tie up your next paper crafting project with string.  Tie on a tag, maybe a button or two.  Wrap your card front with several strands in different hues.  Pair string with washi tape to create a banner in all of your favorite colors.  Add knots, braids or twists with string and manipulate it in unique ways.  Let your creativity take the lead!  We look forward to seeing all of your creations tied up!

My entry in this month's Blog Challenge with string was to knit up a little swap for a fun encouraging card. Knitting with toothpicks was a new challenge to conquer.

Supplies:Bakers twine. Knit Bits, Purls of Wisdom, Pure Poppy  and Scarlet Jewel ink, toothpicks.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, I do love hearing from you! Have a blessed day.

Make It Monday #145: 2013 A la Carte

  #143: Modern Whimsy Style

Papertrey Ink design team member Danielle Flanders has a style all her own. On this week's Make It Monday she's gave tips and guidelines so anyone can create in the modern whimsy style.
I can't say I love this whimsical style but after making a card or two it is growing on me.
My card includes many different papers and dies as well as inks.

Supplies: Rustic Wreath stamp & die, First Place die, Confetti Garland die, Spiral Notebook die, Rustic Burlap IP,  Boutique Borders stamp set, Hello Foxy stamp set, Linen Vellum, New Leaf and Hibiscus Burst ink, Zing Grapefruit embossing powder, Faber-Castell watercolor pencils and embroidery floss.
