Papertrey and Pinterest

"Stitched Thinking of You" card by Danielle Flanders for Papertrey Ink

Papertrey is on Pinterest! Today's challenge is to use a picture from Pinterest for inspiration and create a new card/project from this picutre. My inspiration came from this beautiful card by Danielle Flanders using the Stitches and Swirls stamp set. Her card reminds me when I was younger and my mother and grandmother taught me how to embroider. I have always loved "Redwork" embroidery and I hope my card conveys that love of handcrafting that was taught to me so very long ago.

Supplies:
Premade MS card base
Papertrey Ink Stitches and Swirls, Red Poppy ink, Mat Stack #5, and Thinking Big # 1

Papertrey Ink 5th Anniversary

I have always love Debbie Olsen's card that is showcased today as one of her favorite cards. And if I did not already own the Year of the Flower sets and Garden Variety~ Debbie's card would have me adding them to my shopping cart today!  I do not however, own the flower packet envelope die, but searched my many Cricut carts to find a suitable replicable and after many sizing trials came up with the right size to make a poor man's copy of her AWESOME  card. I must also say that she is the person who started me on my Copic mission and I have loved every minute of it.
Thank you Debbie and all the Papertrey Design Team  for all Your inspiration, stamping and coloring techniques/hints.

Make it Monday #50 Shaker Card

This week's Make it Monday technique and challenge was a Shaker card taught by PTI senior design team member Heather Nichols. She showcases how to make a Shaker Card adding a foam die cut piece and using your Xyron machine. I decided to use my Flower Fusion flowers with the new die cut center from #12 to create a fun shaker card. Thank you for the time you take out of your busy day to check out my blog and the comments you leave. They are always a pleasure. ~Angie~

January Blog Hop

This month, in honor of the new year, we are challenging you to pick your  favorite project from 2011 and share it with all of us!  To take it a step further, you are also challenged to create a second card that is inspired by the favorite project you select.  Your new version of an old favorite could carry over the color scheme, the layout or the stamp sets.
So the first picture is from a MIM challenge in April of 2011.
I love using the Aloha stamp set. My second card is using the same stamp set, I fussy cut the hibiscus which I colored with copics. My new Kraft paper, ink and ribbon arrived today,SO of course I had to use it on my card. Enjoy the blog Hop today!
