Make It Monday #166: Debossing Stamped Images

This week's Make it Monday challenge is make a card and using dies or cover plates "de-emboss" the stamped images. For my card I choose the Happy Hexagons stamp set and cover plate. I used an extra large TH stamping grid block to line up my stamps and covered the front of my card that way and then ran it through my Grand Calibur with the cover plate. I did notice that the CP shifted a little bit but I like that imperfection on my card.. I used an Stitched Sentiment stamp and die for the sentiment as well as Mini Blooms.
Inks~Classic Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz, Simply Chartreuse, Summer Sunrise and Berry Sorbet.

Here is one more aqua and melon card for today's PTI blog hop.

Make It Monday #162: Paper Scrap Pie Charts

Scarps! We all have them and we all keep them afraid to throw that last little bit of paper away. If we do throw away that last remaining bit of paper it could of been the defining centerpiece of our latest card creation. Well, Papertrey Ink design team member Melissa Phillips showcases an awesome solution to using up scrap bits and die cuts all in one card. This week's Make It Monday uses paper scraps to create a "pie chart". This is a super fun solution to one of the crafting worlds biggest questions.
Anyway, below is my take on this week's Make It Monday challenge.

Supplies: PTI Journal Card 2 die, Limitless Layers: Heart die, Letterpress Luxe IP, Foliage die for flower, Doodlie do stamp sentiment, various paper scraps, Ripe Avocado CS and Memento Luxe ink.

the challenge
If you take a look around, you can find inspiration in nearly anything!  This month we challenge you to look at embroidered patterns in a whole new light!  Look through your clothes, Pinterest, home decor catalogs or even the inspiration I have provided above and find an embroidered pattern that speaks to you.  Using the colors and design of the embroidery, build your own stamped version using your favorite floral stamps or other images.
My inspiration comes from a cross stitch sampler I made over 25 years ago. It is still one of my favorite stitchery's. I love the variegated colors used for this sampler and hope my card does it justice.

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #158 Post 2

Watercolor stamping is all the trend right now. Heather Nichols shows how to make a few fun easy watercolor stamped cards with Gelatos in this Youtube video.

Here is my second contribution to this week's MIM. Originally, I had stamped all my flowers on one card. But, I wasn't pleased with the composition of that card. So I took my card apart and cut the stamped images apart and made two cards I am Super pleased with.

I used Heather's second technique for my cards. I colored the image and then spritz it with water before stamping.

Supplies: PTI Daydreamer, Birthday Basics, Birds and Blooms, Larger than Life, Hawaiian Shores CS, New Leaf PP, Luxe KIT #110 CS, Faber Castell Gelatos and patterned Kraft CS.

The #110 CS in the Luxe Kit is great because it doesn't warp like other Card Stock paper.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, I love to hear from you all.  Have a blessed weekend!
