PTI Sampler Square Challenge Day 5

Papertrey Ink challenged each participant to cut nine 1-1/2” squares from white cardstock, then alter all nine of the squares using a variety of techniques, colors, stamps, etc, making sure to do something different to each square.

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Challenge Day 3

Grab and Craft challenge.

Day 3's challenge is to grab supplies in 5 minutes and then used all those supplies to create a card. I grabbed a premade PTI watercolor sheet, Zig pens in green, blue, yellow, pinkish red and orange, Thank you Kindly stamp set and the latest Outlined stamp set that has been sitting on my craft table.

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Challenge Day 2

Today's challenge is to find an article of clothing and use it as you inspiriation. I decided to use this skirt I purchased this past year. I love all the colors and design.

Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop

 With a bold, unique color scheme and a unique arrangement of basic shapes the amazing collage artist Rex Ray use of shape and painted textures were especially inspiring for this month's Blog Hop challenge.

When I saw this month's Blog Hop picture challenge I thought of surf boards and California beaches. But I went a different direction with the fun shapes from the Sketched Shapes stamp set instead.

October Blog Hop

SAF Make It Work Challenge

 --Create a new card from pieces of reject cards or alter a card from earlier today that you were not happy with. 

I was trying for a single layer card, found my card lacked "UMPH" and "Wow"

 After Card Making it Work!!!

I can hear Tim Gunn saying make it work!! My first card uses the Garden Gild stamp set on one layer. A bit too plain and uninspiring. After the judges in my head said you really missed the mark on this one I went back to the studio and added the Garden Gild cover plate and die cut some of the additional flowers. I painted the flowers with my Zig Real Brush markers and also added some sequins to give that extra POP. The judges in my head were much happier with this second card. YEA!!!

SAF 2015 Red Carpet Finale

What a fabulous and FUN day at Papertrey Ink Stamp A Faire 2015!!! Here is my closing picture of me wearing my wonderful new felt necklace with a few of my SAF cards in the background.

SAF Runway Challenge

  --Create a project based on one of the runway looks a team member provided above. 
This dress reminded me of the Fancy Folk Art Stamp set,

                                             --Create a project featuring a stick pin. 

Chicken Scratch Paper, Zing Grapefruit Embossing, Quilted:Spring, Bitty Bouquet, Orange Zest, Raspberry Fizz and Simply Chartreuse Felt and ink.

SAF Unconventional Materials Challenge

My flowers and leaves are sand paper sprayed with Reinkers, the flower centers are a lock washers that looked like wonderful floral centers to me. The background paper is a very fine grit sand paper that worked wonderfully as a blackboard. Who knew so much fun could be found in the hardware store! I think this has to be my favorite challenge of the day so far!!

                   --Create a project that incorporates unconventional materials from a hardware store. 

Bloom Builders dies, Ripe Avocado and Scarlet Jewel reinker, Baker's Dozen, Sentiment Signs,Stylish Sentiments: Birthday,White Embossing Powder, white gel pen and PTI white ink to smudge.

SAF Mix and Match Challenge

I stepped out of my floral comfort zone and made a masculine birthday card using last year's SAF papers. I always struggle with making masculine cards and today's techniques were very helpful to master some of my fears. And using grays is definitely not in my wheel house.


      -Your challenge is to create a card or project that mixes at least three different patterned papers.

SAF 2014 paper, grey enamel dots. Paper Source "Cement" paper base, Stacked Sentiments,Sketched Shapes die, Birthday Classics stamp and Smoky Shadow PP and ink.

Stamp A Faire 2015 Friday Night

Well, here I am getting ready for tomorrow.  It's been a busy week since I start back to work on Monday.:( Happily I get one more craft weekend before I summer comes to an end. YEA!!
I here in mucho caliente Southern California sitting by my VERY messy craft table looking forward to a whole lot of fun tomorrow.
My stamp a faire shirt was made using Royal Velvet and Simply Chartreuse reinkers mixed with water in a mini mister. I then stamped YOF Carnations onto  my shirt using Memento Luxe ink(it is more permanent than dye inks).
