Make it Monday #48 Creating Backgrounds with Border Dies

This week's MIM challenge was to create a background using a  border die so I cut my Just the Ticket die in half to create a unique different type of background.
Supplies:
Just the Ticket Die (cut in half),Rosie Posies stamp set, Thank You stamp set, Mat Stack #4 and Layerz #4, Papertrey Canyon Clay, Ripe Avocado, True Black and Summer Sunrise Ink
THoltz Old Paper and Frayed Burlap Distressing Inks
I would use Tim Holtz's technique of using some tissue tape on the back side of the die next time to keep the perforations from coming apart.

Make it Monday (A la carte) #47

So today's challenge is to try a MIM from this past year that you may not have tried the first time around, I must admit it was fun to see all the previous MIM all in one place to look through. I decided to go with #3 Glitter Strips with Scor-tape showcased by Dawn McVey. I am amazed at how well the glitter sticks to the Scor-tape and doesn't rub off.  My one resolution for 2012 is to hopefully participate in all of the MIM for 2012, so far I'm off to an excellent start!

Supplies:
Papertrey Ink-- Mat Stack #3 and Layerz dies, Ribbon Tails die, Turning a New Leaf die( cut apart leaves),
Sunflower die, YOF November (sentiment), Mat Stack #1 stamp embellishment and
                         Autumn Rose paper
Inks-- Ranger Adirondack Purple Twilight, Memento-Lilac Posies
Scor-tape--1/4 inch and 1/8 inch
Martha Stewart-- glitter
Creative Charms pearls with alcohol inks to match color of paper

December Blog Hop

The-Challenge
Since the blog hop will be taking place the day after Christmas, we thought we would hold to our traditional "Holiday Leftovers Challenge".  Of course we aren't referring to food, but all of the wrapping paper, bows, ribbon, tags, canceled postage from holiday cards you have received, photos from holiday cards and anything else you might have laying around after the holiday preparations have ended.  Your challenge is to use some type of  leftover materials to create a project.
So for today's challenge I hand cut the stocking from one of my Christmas cards that I just loved the design on and then mounted it onto some various leftover cuts I had from making my own Christmas cards this year.
Half and Half die cuts and Limitless Layers 2.5, MS bakers twine and red jewels

Enjoy today's blog hop! Have a Happy New Year.
