Make It Monday #104: Handmade Pinwheels

Ashley Cannon Newell here with  this week's Make It Monday. She shows us a project that might add some pinwheels to your next project and chase these last few weeks of winter away.

When Ashley show cased pinwheels this week and demo-ed those cute tiny 3/4 inch pinwheels my head thought immediately of pinwheel flowers. So my MIM project has those adorable mini pinwheels blowing in the spring breeze. Even though they are small I used two pieces of CS for 3 of my pinwheels.
Have a blessed week and thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies:
PTI~  Simply Chartreuse PP, Blueberry Sky PP, Berry Sorbet PP, Sweet Blush PP,Soft Stone PP, Lemon Tart CS, Lavendar Moon CS, Cloud die, Heart 2 Heart stamp set and a few tiny doll buttons I have had forever.

Papertrey 6th Anniversary Watercolor Challenge

Today's challenge was to play around with water coloring. I have to say I had a lot of fun with this challenge. For this card I stamped Yof F Daffodil then fussy cut it out (Can't wait for the new dies!) Painted the flower with PTI re-inkers and water re-stamped the flower because the water and paint washed away the stamped design. I then mounted the flower on Kraft paper that I had again brushed stroked re-inkers and water too, added a sentiment and a die cut chevron (Simply Chartreuse) patterned paper

Make It Monday #103: The Diecut Double-Up

Well, with all the PTI 6th Anniversary challenges this week I almost didn't do the Make It Monday for this week. But, thankfully I am squeaking it in under the wire.
Betsy Veldman showed us how to extend the use of dies by double die cutting.

For this challenge I cut 2 Limitless Hearts (1 Plain and 1 with scalloped edges) I then recut the pink heart with Modern Alphabet (LOVE) the black PTI paper is impressed with the Aida IP, and the Parisian Doily die cut from a coffee filter then colored with TH Fabric Stains.
Have a blessed day and thank you for stopping by!

Make It Monday #101: Layered Embossing

PTI Design Team member Heather Nichols showcases how to use multiple embossing powders on top of each other for a fun great designer look.

My card for this week's Make It Monday

The clear reddish funky flower was made using red embossing powder. On the dark paper it looks clear except where it overlaps the white flower and you see a hint of the red embossing powder.
