This was a fun picture challenge!! I loved making the vase out of the Friendship Die and using a Cuttlebug embossing folder to make it look like a milk glass vase. I also LOVE these new Hero Arts Ombre ink pads.

Spring Challenge

For this month's PTI blog challenge I used my Quilted: Spring stamp and die set along with a Think Big Favorites sentiment.  I embossed the die into the background paper and then added the center I stamped, die cut and foam backed to add demension. I used Blueberry Sky and Harvest Gold Papertrey Inks.

FEBRUARY 2015 BLOG HOP CHALLENGE

There are so many directions you could go in with this  beautiful inspiration! The colors, patterns or a watercolored background.  Try pulling out your Cover Plate: Quatrefoil die or some other patterned die. Enjoy and most of all have fun!

For my Blog challenge I made a Quartrefoil stamp out of a foam die cut. So much fun to have an extra fun stamp!

 Back to School Easel Card

Well, school starts for me tomorrow. That means back to work and good-bye summer vacation. This week's Make It Monday, Erin Lincoln demonstrates how to make an easel card with a variety of larger dies in one's collection. I have to admit it was a lot of fun creating a chalkboard effect. Of course, any more classrooms have Whiteboards or Smart Boards for learning. Chalkboards are becoming a thing of the past.

August 2014 Blog Hop Challenge

• Create a bold border around postcard-style stationery using the chisel tip of a marker.
• Gold embossed polka dots!  Need I say more?
• Allow a simple sentiment take center stage when gold embossed onto a crisp white card.
• Keep your color scheme simple with white and a splash of something bold, like Raspberry Fizz.
• Don't forget your envelopes!  Create a fun and festive envelope liner for your card.

1980's:rainbows

There was an explosion of color in the 80s and rainbows were everywhere, from clothing and decor to logos, toys, and even postage stamps. Rainbows in their actual form, paired with unicorns and cats, and rainbow patterns, striped and repetitive. Rainbow heart sweaters and shoelaces pop up on almost every 80's search. Lexi will be showing you a few different ideas on how to incorporate rainbows into your projects.

1980's:Passing Notes

In a time before cell phones and texting, kids passed notes across the classroom and through the halls. Do you want to go out? Check yes or no. Who's your biggest crush? And even acronyms, L/Y/L/A/S and K.I.T. There was definitely an art in passing them without being intercepted by the wrong person or confiscated by a teacher, but the true art of those notes was in folding them. Lexi will be showing you all the in's and outs of retro note folding to create an embellishment for your card and for the card itself.  It will be, like, totally awesome!

1940's: corsage

In the 1940's, corsages and lapel posies were very popular. Clothes were hard to come by since many fabrics were rationed.  Ladies would update an old dress with a pretty new corsage.  Many of these were made using millinery flowers or handmade from felt.  Betsy will be showing you how to make your very own which you can use to dress up packages, use on card fronts, or maybe even wear on your own lapel!
