Make It Monday #141: Adding Glitter with Heat and Stick Embossing Powder

Papertrey Ink's awesome Design Team member, Heather Nichols shows everyone in this week's Make It Monday how to make a beautiful card with heat and stick embossing powder and glitter.
For this card I used Tim Holtz sticky embossing powder instead of heat and stick embossing. I started out putting the sticky embossing powder and glitter on just the floral burst but loved the look of the extra glitter on the rest of the card that I went back and embossed and glittered the entire card.
The background I did first with distress inks on my craft sheet with water and swiped my paper through the inks to create this fun autumn colors. After I heat set the background inks I stamped the images onto it using the same background colors.
This was such a fun technique I am sure I will making many more cards using glitter and sticky embossing powder.

Supplies: PTI Meadow Greens stamp set, Terracotta Tile CS, Him Holtz distress Ink, TM rock candy glitter,TH Ranger Sticky embossing powder,Versamark ink.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment I love hearing form you. Have a blessed day!

  1. I just had another look at your card--and thought I'd already left a message on how beautiful it is, but it's not here...? So NOW I'm saying it!! Gorgeous, sugary look!

  2. This is beautiful. The glittery coating makes all the colors look so soft and blended.

  3. Very pretty!! Love the colors and the glitter totally adds depth and texture!! Love!
