I choose the third color combo from the top for this card.
Jennifer showed how to make hatch marks on your paper with  pencil lines first, then stamp images and after stamping is complete erase the pencil lines going lightly over stamped images. I think next time I will do my pencil lines a little darker so they show up a bit more.

Make It Monday #123: Making Your Own Paint

Ashley Cannon Newall shows a really fun tutorial on making your custom colored paint with your reinkers and gesso on this week's Make It Monday for Papertrey Ink.

Luckily, I had recently picked up a bottle of gesso at my local Walmart, so I was able to try this very fun challenge. I stamped a linen bag with Stitches and Swirls, then painted it with gesso and reinkers. My card was made by painting the gesso/reinker onto a piece of sticky backed canvas and then stamping my design on. I ran the canvas piece through my Grand Calibur with the Quartrefoil CP as an impression plate to add a little extra texture to the card.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed 4th of July weekend!

Supplies:
Papertry Ink Quartrefoil CP, Gesso, New Leaf, Orange Zest and Royal Velvet reinkers,Chia tea ink, Beautiful Butterflies, Stitches and Swirls stamp sets. Brilliance Black Ink was used to stamp on the linen bag.
