Make It Monday #116: Adding Texture to Stamps

For this week's Make It Monday  Betsy Veldman shows us how to use household items to add texture to stamps. In her video Betsy uses a comb to add texture to her solid stamps and while I have plenty of old comb around the house I decided to challenge myself with different household items to create texture on my solid stamps. I used my meat tenderizer hammer to create texture. On pink Hibiscus Burst flower I used the side of the hammer that has small raised dots, and on the Berry Sorbet flower and leaves I used the other side of hammer and ran the hammer across the inked stamp like Betsy did with her comb. I also love Dawn's new Ruby Rose stamp set that comes out this week, especially the leaves. I used two inks on the leaves to help create extra interest.

Supplies:
PTI Happiness in Bloom stamp set, Stamper Select paper, gem dots, Candi paper dots.
Inks~Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Dark Chocolate, New Leaf and Simply Chartreuse
Thank You for stopping by. Have a blessed day!

  8. I can't believe you used a meat tenderiser! Your texture on half of the leaves looks really good.
